Retail roots, separate network relationship
iD Mobile launched through Carphone Warehouse in May 2015 and is part of Currys Group. Its mobile coverage uses Three's network, while the retail account is managed by iD. The two relationships serve different purposes. A question about a bill, device agreement or transfer belongs with iD even if the underlying network name appears in coverage information.
Rollover and bill controls
Data rollover and bill capping are notable iD features. Read the current rollover rules rather than assuming data accumulates without limit or remains available indefinitely. A spending control needs its own scope checked, including excluded categories. These tools can help organise usage, but neither removes the need to understand allowances, international activity or the terms of a chosen arrangement.
SIM-only choices
An iD SIM-only arrangement allows a compatible existing handset to be retained. Compare the minimum period and allowance alongside any feature conditions. Someone moving from a handset contract should check whether the old device is fully settled before treating the new airtime as their only remaining obligation. Save the chosen contract summary instead of relying on a later advertisement.
Phone arrangements
iD also has handset-linked service options. Establish the full commitment, payment schedule and any conditions around early changes or upgrades. A retailer's handset display does not replace the mobile service documents. Keep insurance and optional services identifiable. If a phone is being returned, obtain confirmation of what happens to airtime as well as the device; one action may not resolve both.
Monthly and prepaid labels
Read the actual iD product type because a recurring monthly contract and a prepaid route have different payment and commitment rules. Do not assume that the presence of a PAYG help page means a specific older tariff is available to a new customer. For any current option, confirm renewal, allowance expiry and the treatment of usage beyond the bundle directly with iD.
The app and statement
Use iD's account tools to locate the billing period, line and usage category. Rollover can affect the allowance shown, so distinguish carried data from the fresh monthly allocation. If the statement is unexpected, record the item and date before asking iD to investigate. threemoblonko cannot adjust the bill cap, open the account or reverse a transaction.
eSIM compatibility and activation
iD publishes digital-SIM guidance alongside its physical-SIM service. Use the instructions applicable to the exact phone and account situation. An eSIM replacement and a provider switch are different changes, even when both happen during the same week. Keep another means of internet access available while following activation steps, and do not delete a working profile as a method of cancelling service.
Roaming: read the included list
iD publishes an inclusive roaming destination list and conditions, with additional arrangements for other destinations. Check where you are actually travelling, the permitted allowance and any duration or fair-use restrictions. Data rollover at home should not be assumed to extend the overseas entitlement in the same way. Stopovers, premium numbers and non-terrestrial networks need separate attention.
Number transfer and service questions
Follow iD's switching instructions when retaining a number across providers. Check the remaining agreement position before initiating the move. For weak reception, use the current coverage and status information, then record specific times and places for iD. A transfer problem or account restriction needs official investigation; our independent role is limited to explaining the general questions and terminology.
